Dr. Sidhpuria has a rich teaching and industry experience of more than 25 years. Prior to joining academics, he was associated for about 8 years with the healthcare sector. For the last more than 17 years, he has been involved in postgraduate management teaching, research and consultancy. He has published more than 30 research papers in the journals of repute. The management cases written by him have been acclaimed and awarded prizes at various Conventions organized by the Association of Indian Management Schools (First Prize in the year 2000 and Third Prize in the year 2005). The research paper presented at an International Conference at IBA, Bangalore was awarded “The Best Research Paper” in 2009 and research paper presented at a National Conference at Auro University, Surat was awarded the “Second Best Research Paper” in the 2013. He completed the Management Teachers Programme (1 Basic course and 5 Elective courses) offered by the Strategic Management Forum of India in May 2005.
He has been associated with various academic institutions & professional organization as visiting faculty. He has organized & conducted various training programmes under the aegis of the ‘Business Counselling Cell’ (BCC) of the Department. Presently, he is the Coordinator of the “Start-up and Entrepreneurship Council” of the University. He is also a member of “University —Industry Interaction Cell”. He was a member of the various academic bodies of V. N. South Gujarat University, including Board of Studies in Management, Board of University Teaching (BUT) and was also the Co-ordinator of the MBA (Evening) programme run by the Department for the working executives during the period 2007-11.
He has authored a book titled “Retail Franchising” published by Tata McGraw-Hill. Its international copy has been published in Philippines by McGraw-Hill International. He has also done an adaptation work with a book titled “Effective Business Communication” again published byTata McGraw-Hill.
